It’s growing! It’s invasive! Reaching into the sky, the thorny vine sprouts threats of all kinds, from vineling monsters to leafy duplicates of various glimmers. This blooming terror is scary. But why not fight scary with scary?
Attack of the Vine! is the climactic fourth chapter of the Vine storyline, following Whispers in the Well, Winterspell, and Wilds Unknown. The vine has grown completely out of control, sprouting vineling monsters and leafy duplicates of existing glimmers across the realm. The set marks the confirmed debut of three Pixar franchises featuring Monsters, Inc., Up, and Turning Red with Sulley, Mike Wazowski, and Boo serving as the set’s marquee heroes.
207 Ways to Take on the Vine!
The set contains 207 unique cards, making it the first Lorcana set to exceed the standard 204-card count. Confirmed cards include Sulley – The New Boss with Bodyguard and the REHIRE ability (return a card from discard to hand), Boo – Energetic Child with Rush and the Kid-Tastrophe! ability (banish challenged characters with 3 ink or less), and Mike Wazowski – Well-Rounded Entertainer with the Make ‘Em Laugh ability granting +1 Lore.
The Vine Has Secrets!
Attack of the Vine! has a deliberate 1950s B-movie horror and sci-fi aesthetic, reflected in the comic-book-inspired title lettering and vivid packaging art. The set kicks off Year 4 of Disney Lorcana and triggers the second-ever Core Constructed rotation, pushing out the four Year 2 sets like Shimmering Skies, Azurite Sea, Archazia’s Island, and Reign of Jafar.
Celebrate the release of Attack of the Vine, Lorcana’s newest set, with us! We will host a prerelease event Saturday, July 18th at Noon. This event is casual and welcoming to players of all experience levels. This is a great place to start if you are thinking about playing your first official Lorcana event!
Prerelease packs give regular players exactly what they need to kick-start their Attack of the Vine! collection and play a few rounds of Pack Rush at their local game store. The random promo card is a fun surprise as there are six total that one could pull. Plus, the included poster gives players a peek into the fun and “horror” that awaits in this adventure.
