DESCRIPTION:Join us Friday\, April 22nd from 5-7 pm for another Family Fun Friday evening! \nWe are very excited to have another local children’s book author with us for Family Fun Friday. Molly O’Malley Pitman and her book “Love without words”. Illustrated by our own in-house artist Jeff Perdziak. Molly will be selling and signing her book! Here’s a little info on the book. \nAs the mother of a child with autism\, I have had the opportunity to truly appreciate the significance of communication. A simple greeting of hello\, a request for a drink or an “I want” for a favorite toy may never happen for many. In our struggle to make those connections\, there have been many meltdowns\, countless tears and moments of desperation where I found myself begging him to say a single word\, let alone a simple “I love you.” \n  \nIt was when my children’s own relationships began to evolve that I started to see an even greater love that cannot be expressed in just three words. \n  \nWhen Charlotte was about three\, she questioned why Donovan did not respond when she said\, “I love you.” Caught off guard\, I used her bond with our family dog\, Makeo\, as an explanation. “Makeo plays with you. He gets excited when you come home. And he even lets you cuddle with him. Makeo shows you his love.” Charlotte seemed to have a better understanding\, and so did I. \n  \nWe are fortunate Donovan has found his words and we have heard “I love you.” Even so\, it is in the joy of sharing a life together and creating special moments that I know how deeply we are all loved. \n  \nLove without Words was written with the hope that many will be able to reflect on similar moments enjoyed in their lifetime. These moments demonstrate a true and pure love\, regardless of any words being spoken. \n  \n“It’s a feeling you share\, it’s not always heard\, but you can LOVE and be LOVED\, without a single word.” \nIn addition to this\, other fun family activities include: \nUnlimited Arcade Game Tokens!\nScavenger Hunt – to Earn $5 Family Fun Bucks!\nDouble Free Gifts! \n  \nWe hope to see you here!
